Music Sites and other Fun Stuff...

Famous Music Publishing I write for them. They are both tenacious and full of laughs. :)

Music Row Democrats  Rock 'n' Roll democracy style!!! "Country Music values have always been democratic - the family, the working man, the community taking care of each other..." ---Nanci Griffith

ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers). Specifically, check out their Audio Portraits: little interview/snippets where the artist speaks on a particular song as the song plays in the background. This site is addictive.

NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International)

Willie Nelson World Headquarters. Need I say more?

Alison Krauss + Union Station are writing the book, as we speak.

Alice Walker's novels have always inspired me to pay closer attention to life and be more creative along the way. This is a neat site with excerpts, interviews, and articles on her work. My favorite is The Temple of My Familiar.

The Columbia Association. I moved to Columbia, MD when I was ten years old, and I think of it as home. It's a really unusual and interesting place, and it's only been in the last couple of years that I've really started to understand just how unusual and interesting it truly is. Innovative urban planner James Rouse (who also built the first shopping mall in Glen Burnie, MD), bought a bunch of land in Howard County, Maryland and created a planned community based on principles of economic stability, respect for land and resources, and community-building. Click on Columbia Archives and read the short history of Columbia if you find yourself intrigued...

Nashville Humane Association. I've got three crazy mutts, and anyone who has animals knows that crazy pets keep crazy people sane...

National Public Radio.
